Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), India's apex industry body for
fashion, has announced its partnership with Huawei P9, the world's first
smartphone co-engineered with Leica, to reinvent smartphone photography.The
announcement was made alongside the launch of Huawei P9 in India, in presence
of Bollywood stars Sushmita Sen, Boman Iraniand leading FDCI designers
Rohit Gandhi, Rina Dhaka, Renynu Taandon, Samant Chauhan, Gautam Rakha,
Dhruv Vaish, Joy Mitra, Nikhita Taandon, Ankita Chaudhary and Nida Mahmood.
The Huawei P9 will be the first smartphone to be used at Amazon India
Fashion Week Spring Summer 2017, by the event's official photographer,
to cover all shows at the event.
The Huawei P9 is the first smartphone from the collaboration between Huawei
and the global iconic camera brand Leica, resulting in a stunning dual-lens
camera in a smartphone, which sets a new benchmark in smartphone camera
technology, with more light and better clarity, to capture brilliant colour
and striking black and white images in true Leica style. Images from the
ground-breaking dual-lens camera are brought to life on a 5.2 inch full
HD display. The P9 is powered by Huawei's latest Kirin 955 chipset and
runs Android Marshmallow 6.0. The Huawei P9 is slated to be available
in the country beginning August 18th for INR 39,999/-.
